How many great covers can a new comic have? When it comes to Bloodstrike and the latest creative team, it seems as many as the issues that are printed because this issue's cover's yet another winner! Check out the angle, the dynamic-ism and the colouring
Storywise, we see that the new Bloodstrike (solo) and his team are in deep shit and the govt man is calling him to pull out regardless of who gets left behind. Naturally our tough guy being the loyal chap that he is refuses and decides to stay put and take down the villains
This here is the biggest problem I have with early Extreme titles. The characters, good and bad, are well designed and hint at so much. However, in terms of delivery and actual threat level, the villains are all dispatched too quickly. Look at Stormwatch, Wetworks, Dragon and Extreme books including Youngblood and you will know what I mean
Here, we have head bitch who looks super nasty and super confident about her two tiers of lackeys. Unfortunately, with great armor, weaponry and numbers, none of them were a match for Bloodstrike
SPOILER ALERT
About the only over the top thing that happens is someone plucking someone else's eyes out (hey did Kirkman do a Liefeld when he did that issue of Walking Dead then?)
